There’s peace here
Rest that resets bones
Silence that soothes
Frozen grass that crackle underfoot
as I walk barefoot towards my dawn.
My soles are chilled, but no matter
Here, we think nothing of such things
We come here for the rebirth
for hibernation
for ice.
I used to liken a freeze to death
Years have made me wiser.
To chill my blood, to crawl into cold encapsulation
is love
is life.
Sleep now
The moon will rock you
At dawn’s rays
you’ll be ready.
