The Cold to Come

A time to rest // A time to fly // A time to huddle close // A time to gather courage. // An invisible force is drawing close // Gathering strength, as the Earth's axis tips towards winter.

The Seagull

Beak aloft in preparation for ascension // Soon, I'll be soaring high above the vastness // Wait. // There they are // Masses of them // Eyes downcast, as if frightened // Gullible - trapped, perhaps - in their ways. // The vastness is to them unknown.

Queen of Life

When dusk comes // and it is time to bow out // all that ever mattered // is weighed up // (not in words). // She who conquered fear was a master in her own right.

Courage

If I can have just a glimpse // of what fuels this valley // It's what I came for // What I call out for // What echos back // What I miss most // When it's lost in the woods.

Gratia, Cosmos

Thank you, universe, for feeding me, nourishing me, loving me and showing me the grace of yet another day. Remembering my gratitude, I shall spread nothing but kindness and bow to my determination to let my corner of the universe flourish. I start and end the day with kindness, courage, compassion.

My Sister’s Keeper

When all else fails, and I quiver, you remain in my psyche. For all that I fear, you have conquered, and through it all, soul sister, you walked with grace.
